A flock of starlings is called a murmuration. Hundreds upon hundreds of birds move constantly in unison, and create an endless array of amazing, often artistic, shapes as they cross the sky (seen here in WIRED). It is like watching a shape-shifting cloud. There is safety in numbers, so the individual starlings do not scatter, but rather are able to move as an intelligent cloud. The science and secret lies in the same systems that apply to anything on the cusp of a shift, where the velocity of one bird affects the velocity of the rest and every shift of the murumation is called a critical transition.
In many ways, it reminds me of the ever-changing and growing DocuSign MOMENTUM, which we have attended the past five years, and our strong partnership in place long before the cusp of a shift to 100% digital transaction management. As the contingent for eOriginal travels to San Francisco next week, we will once again have the treat of seeing the constant, artistic activity that is MOMENTUM and our team will be right in the middle of it.
As partners since 2006, eOriginal works with DocuSign to develop a joint solution that enables customers to eliminate paper by managing documents digitally, from signature through post-execution management. This partnership has allowed the organizations to become leaders in the burgeoning Digital Transaction Management (DTM) space, as noted by the Aragon Research Tech Spectrum on DTM.
As a premier sponsor in this year’s MOMENTUM conference and a leading DocuSign partner, we will once again be there in force and well represented. In addition to a stream of meetings with current and potential customers, as well as our colleagues at DocuSign, we will also have a constant presence at booth #22 in MOMENTUM Union Square Tent, which is the hub of all social and networking activities for the conference.
Additionally, eOriginal President and CEO Stephen Bisbee is set to join other industry leaders on a panel entitled “Collaborating across an Industry: Simplifying Contract to Close with DocuSign.” In the wake of eOriginal’s expanded digital mortgage platform, Bisbee will join Tamara Strickland, Vice president of Fidelity, and Steve Pomush of American Homes 4 Rent to discuss how mortgage, title, homebuilder, and property management professionals are leading the charge for a 100 percent paperless transaction process.
Led by moderator Georg Gerstenfeld, General Manager & Vice President of Global Real Estate for DocuSign, Bisbee and his fellow panelists will discuss the challenges and solutions of working cross-industry to unify the real estate transaction process. Be sure to join them at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016
As eOriginal has been in the mortgage space since its inception 20 years ago, we are well aware of the technological and cultural challenges of unifying this very fragmented process. However, the inertia that used to hinder the industry has dissolved into momentum – pun intended – and collaboration through digital technology will soon become the norm.
Are you going to be at MOMENTUM? Unlike a murmuration, there will be no predators on site, only seasoned executives from the best companies around the globe, like eOriginal, willing to help you reach your digital transaction management goals. Schedule some time with us and be sure to stop by booth #22 to say hello and hear about all the great work we are doing with our partner.
