Employee Spotlight: Sarah Holland, Sales and Marketing Coordinator

For the past year, our employee spotlight series has provided insights into members of the eOriginal team. Sarah Holland, our sales and marketing coordinator, has led this initiative from its inception, drafting countless fun and compelling questions for featured employees to answer and we thought it was time to turn the spotlight around and get to know more about Sarah. Here are her responses:

Q: What has been your favorite project at eOriginal and why?

Sarah: Planning and attending our Chairman’s Club trip to the Bahamas in February 2016, of course!  While that was a blast, my favorite project is the continuous improvement of our Salesforce instance. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in four years, and I know the future will only bring more developments. We now use more than five products related to Salesforce and every time we expand our collection, we increase our efficiency and productivity. My current favorites are the amazing impacts of Quip and Salesforce Inbox.

Q: If you could pick one super power, what would it be and why?

Sarah: Teleportation. I love to travel, but hate the amount of time it takes to get places and the toll long flights can take. It would be amazing to see friends and family that are far away, or travel to remote parts of the world with the blink of an eye. The idea of immediately sitting on a warm, tropical beach is especially appealing as the weather in Baltimore continues to get colder.

Q: What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most and why?

Sarah: I love any projects that allow me to use both my creative and analytic sides to solve a problem. Basically, when people come to me with a need for a report, I like being able to pull that data and information, analyze it, and create a visual that provides the whole picture. I also love planning and scheduling our sales events. It’s always great to bring the team together from across the country. The people I work with are really what make my role the most enjoyable.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful city of Baltimore?

Sarah: How am I supposed to pick just one?! I have a lot of friends and family that live close by so it’s great to be able to get out and explore all the restaurants and bars throughout the city with them. My favorites are anywhere along the water in Canton or Fells Point. Baltimore also attracts a lot of musicians so there are constantly great singers and bands to see at Rams Head, Soundstage, or 8×10. I’ve also been known to get sucked in to a shopping spree at one of the many boutiques.

Q: What is your favorite mode of exercise and why?

Sarah: Growing up I swam year-round and then transitioned to rowing (crew) in high school and college. Fitness and exercise is (and always will be) a vital part of my life. Today, I get nearly all my exercise from attending boot camp. It’s a high energy strength, conditioning, and core circuit class that is led by an amazing trainer in Baltimore. I also love a good yoga or spin class with friends when I get the chance. When the weather is nice, you can’t beat a nice hike or run around the waterfront.

Sarah, thanks for all that you do to make sure sales and marketing function as a well-oiled machine. We love your positive attitude, passion for “making things work” and always coming to work with a smile on your face.
