Stephen F. Bisbee – President & CEO

Stephen F. BisbeeStephen F. Bisbee is the co-inventor of the eOriginal® process and currently serves as President and CEO of the Company. Mr. Bisbee envisioned a unique solution wrapping electronic business and legal processes in security technologies to reduce the burdens and inefficiencies of paper-based transactions. He founded the Company to fulfill this vision.

For several years, Mr. Bisbee played a leadership role among the American Bar Association committees establishing the legal standards for electronic commerce. His involvement in those forums has been invaluable in the design of the eOriginal products and in gaining recognition of eOriginal, Inc. as a leader in the implementation of legal, fully electronic, business-to-business commerce.

Mr. Bisbee has 18 years of experience as a corporate attorney specializing in commercial transactions, financing and development. Prior to his corporate attorney activities, he was president of a New York manufacturer and wholesale distributor, and vice president of a New York-based restoration company. Mr. Bisbee is currently president of J.J. Burns & Co. Inc., a privately held investment company, and serves on the Advisory Council of Waverly Management, LLC, a firm specializing in private foundation asset and operation management. He is also a Board Member of the Electronic Signature and Records Association, a Washington D.C. based industry educational and policy organization and a Founding Member of the Boston College Law School Business Advisory Council.


Mr. Bisbee obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University and his Juris Doctor degree from the Boston College School of Law.

Bryan K. Caporlette – Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operations Officer

Bryan CaporletteBryan Caporlette has served as eOriginal's Chief Technology Officer since April 2001. He was appointed Chief Operations Officer in 2004.

Mr. Caporlette is responsible for strategic and operational direction for the Company, including product development, marketing, customer & product support, and field sales. Mr. Caporlette has an extensive background in software startup operations, product strategy and development and is a noted expert on the development and application of eXtensible Markup Language (XML) technology into software solutions.

Prior to joining eOriginal, Mr. Caporlette was the Executive Vice President of Strategic Technology for Sequoia Software Corporation, the leading provider of XML-pure portal software. In that capacity he was the principal architect of Sequoia products, as well as the company's expert on XML and the portal software space. Mr. Caporlette was responsible for software requirements and architecture of the XML Portal Server, through Sequoia's 2000 IPO and acquisition by Citrix Systems for $185M in 2001. He also served as the company's technical representative to several industry groups, such as W3C and OASIS.

Prior to Sequoia, Mr. Caporlette held several engineering management positions with companies within the content management, document management, document conversion, and aerospace industries. He began his career with the United States Air Force (USAF), at Armstrong Laboratory in Wright-Patterson AFB. He was awarded the Chief Scientists and Technical Achievement awards for his work in the development and authoring of MIL-STD-87269.

Mr. Caporlette is a graduate of Miami University, Ohio.

Jim Tebay – Vice President Business Development

Jim TebayJim Tebay has extensive experience as a business development executive and consultant with a wide variety of technology software and services companies. He is responsible for business development activities in new markets and partner alliances. 

Prior to joining eOriginal, Mr. Tebay served in a organizational and business development consulting capacity for one of the largest BPO firms in the US, Vice President Sales and Marketing for Identitech, a knowledge management software company, Vice President Marketing/Business Development for DocuCorp International, an insurance, financial services and billing software firm, Regional VP of Sales and Vice President Strategic Marketing for Telxon Corporation, a leading international handheld computer manufacturer and was Manager of Consulting for Development Dimensions International, an international HR consulting firm.

Mr. Tebay holds a B.A. from Duquesne University and lives in Asheville, NC.

Ralph D. Burns – Senior Vice President Chief Revenue Officer

RBurnsRalph D. Burns is the Vice President Chief Revenue Officer for eOriginal and leads Alliance and Channel Management. He is responsible for helping shape eOriginal’s alliance business strategy with a focus in revenue generation.

A driving entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for innovation have characterized Mr. Burns' career. He has held executive roles in leading companies in the technology, consulting and outsourcing space, including Affiliated Computer Systems, EDS, Cap Gemini and SOURCECORP. In those companies, Mr. Burns has held a variety of roles including Vice President of Global Marketing and Portfolio Management, Vice President of Corporate Development and President of the Healthcare Services Division. Mr. Burns' responsibilities have included global business strategy, M&A, alliances, marketing communications, portfolio management and market analyst relations.

Mr. Burns attended University of Texas at Arlington, Crosby Quality College, and Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management – Mergers and Acquisition Program. He was appointed to a presidential advisory committee for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). As the only non-realtor member, Mr. Burns helped shape the association’s restructure of their MLS district rules and secured a consulting contract that resulted in EDS’ development of the Real Estate Information Network business and infrastructure plan linking all 1,896 MLS districts across the US. Mr. Burns has been a recognized speaker on EDI at industry events (ACORD, ANSI, Mortgage Bankers Association, and U.S. Department of Commerce) and has published articles in several industry periodicals. In 1996, Mr. Burns received the Silver EDS Inner Circle Award for sales, and in 2001 and 2002 he served as a judge for the E&Y Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
